What to do and who to call

For hospitals

Emergency and urgent-care vets in Raleigh–Durham–Cary, NC: tell pet owners whether you can see them, in one tap.

Why post your status

  • Fewer “how long is the wait?” calls tying up the front desk.
  • When you’re at capacity, owners see it before they drive and can choose another hospital.
  • Owners arrive knowing what to expect, with their pet’s details ready.

How the private link works

  • We text a private link to a front-desk number you choose — only with your consent. No app, no account, no password.
  • Open it and tap Accepting patients, Busy — expect a wait (with an optional wait estimate) or At capacity. That’s it.
  • Each update shows publicly with its age and stays live for 3 hours. After that your listing shows “No live status — call ahead” until you post again — we never show an old status as current.
  • On weekday evenings and weekends, if you have no live status or it is about to expire, we may text a reminder — at most 3 a day, at least 2 hours apart. Reply STOP any time.
  • The link is a secret: we store only a one-way hash of it, every text carries a new one, and we can switch a link off on request.

Ranking is never for sale

Every list is ordered the same way, always: open now first, then live status (accepting, busy, no live status, at capacity), then distance from the pet owner. No payment, partnership, sponsorship or setting can move a hospital up or down.

Owner wait reports

Owners at your hospital can share when they arrived and whether they have been seen. These appear separately, labelled as owner reports, and never change your status or your place in the list.
