About VetER Now
When your pet needs care tonight, the hard part is finding out which hospital can actually see you. VetER Now answers that before you drive.
What it does
VetER Now lists emergency and urgent-care vets in Raleigh–Durham–Cary, NC with live status — accepting patients, busy, or at capacity — and wait times, posted by the hospitals themselves. Pet owners at a hospital can also share how long they waited.
Honest about freshness
- Every status and every wait time shows its age.
- A hospital’s update counts as live for 3 hours; owner reports for 4 hours.
- After that we show “No live status — call ahead” — we never guess or carry an old value forward.
Fair ranking
Results are always ordered the same way: open now first, then live status (accepting, busy, no live status, at capacity), then distance. No payment, partnership or sponsorship can change that. More for hospitals.
